This past weekend I flew to Sacramento (with the Mabes) to visit my Dad's sister, my Aunt Rose. We have talked about it for years-silly that I waited this long.
What a delightful, heartwarming lady she is. People say I look like her ~ I could only wish! Not only did I get to "party" with my Aunt Rose (we had a slumber party and stayed up until 1AM), but I also got to meet my cousins Randy and Gayle, their spouses Carol and Ole and all of their kids.
Randy has so many physical features like my dad's (he definitely goes on my list of very cute cousins!) and Aunt Rose shares so many of Dad's mannerisms. I would catch myself doing double takes at times.
And it was great meeting Carol. She likes my blog....I like her spunk and zest!
A great weekend of remembering past times and catching up on the current, and seeing glimpses of Bob Hartung through "rose" colored glasses.
And when I returned to Portland, guess who is in my backyard sitting on my deck? Yup, the Blue Bird!!!!
What's the deal with the blue bird? Did I miss something!!!
