Pretty in Pink in Paris ~ "QUATRE"

Day 8 and we fly home. The sun is beginning to rise as we leave this lovely city.

I think Kristi is ready for some much needed alone time....

I read the last secret on the plane trip home. Secret #10 ~ "Wisdom Is Avoiding All Thoughts That Weaken You". A wonderful trip of beauty and insights. I miss my friend Beth as I pray with all I have for Fred. I am blessed with receiving the 10 Secrets from Yina and for this time spent with my gorgeous GPS daughter! Thank you Pix!

Pretty in Pink in Pair ~ "TROIS"

Day 7 and our last day in Paris. We decide to walk to the infamous Pere Lachaise Cemetery (Jim Morrison). We leave our favorite JM quotes etched into the near by tree (I leave Bob's favorite). Walking through the cemetery, I decide to walk up to take a peek as to what are in some of the tombs. Oh Mercy Me....CHAIRS! I am in love! I can only imagine who has sat in those chairs. I want to see them all (actually I want to take each one home) - each one is so different in its design - what stories they must know! The afternoon is spent walking over to the Sacred Heart Basilica, walking up the 247 stairs and lighting one more candle for Fred (that's three so far so I'm pretty confident all is going to be okay for that man!). The evening is spent eating at a place one of Kristi's friends told us we had to go to "Cosi's". And then we took one last walk on a bridge over the Seine and came across a band playing with my future son-in-law in it :) That evening is spent packing and I read two more secrets, Secret #8 ~ "Treat Yourself As If You Already Are What You'd Like to Be and Secret #9 ~ "Treasure Your Divinity".

Pretty in Pink in Paris ~ "DEUX"

Day 4 is spent at the top of the Eiffel Tower and going to my favorite sculptor's museum "Rodin". I remember having the First Kiss (miniature of course) in my condo and now I actually got to touch the original (my hand touches his). Everything there I love, I am in my own bliss. Later that day we eat at Mondrain (bliss) where I come upon my Hot Guy in Paris. He walks by twice and gives the nod that Sidney Poitier gave in To Sir With Love at the schools last dance (swoon). What is it that is so dang sexy about a proper gentleman? Tonight I read Secret #5 ~ "Give Up Your Personal History".

Day 5 and we are on a tour. We travel to Giverny to visit Monet's gardens and home. I touch the doorknob (something I learned from my Uncle Bud) because there just might be the chance that Monet touched it as well. We have lunch at The Moulin de Fourges and then finish the day at the Palace of Versailles. The day ends with Secret #6 ~ "You Can't Solve a Problem with the Same Mind That Created It".

Day 6 was a very sad day for me as I had received two phone calls from Dennis, the husband of Beth (my bestest girlfriend from Boise). Kristi and I spent the day riding the bus. We never got off except to change to a different bus or to have lunch. It was a day we both needed ~ a day to think about Beth for me and a day not having to babysit me for Kristi. At night I read Secret #7 ~ "There Are No Justified Resentments".
